The NU-47V mk II is designed with the sound of our 1953 long body U47 as the reference.
Frequency response, sensitivity and distortion spectrum closely match the original, while the noise floor is kept low without expensive tube replacements and there’s the added flexibilty of a continuously variable polar pattern, yet without compromising signal quality.
Other key properties include a German made M7 capsule with PVC diaphragms, a 105 V operating voltage just like the original U47 and a large headroom transformer balanced output.
One of the special features is that there are no switches, relays or capacitors in the high impedance signal path. This is definitely part of the secret of that huge high definition sound.
The NU-47V mk II is hand built to order only in limited quantity.
